TriageLogic® Announces Free 30-Day Trial of Their Telephone Triage Software for Telehealth Coordination

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., July 14, 2020 – TriageLogic announces a free 30-day trial of their telephone triage software for medical organizations, MyTriageChecklistTM. This software is web-based, and it includes triage protocols developed by Dr.Schmitt and Dr.Thompson for pediatrics and adult patients respectively. The MyTriageChecklist triage software ensures that nurses triage patients safely and document the call when speaking to them on the phone.

TriageLogic’s nurse triage software, MyTriageChecklist, has been trusted by doctors and contact centers for nearly a decade to help  nurses determine the most appropriate level of care when patients call with symptoms. MyTriageChecklist is a web-based, safe, and efficient solution for organizations looking to increase their quality of patient care and save on healthcare costs. The platform uses Schmitt-Thompson protocols. These protocols are accepted by the wider medical community as the safest protocols to use for doctors to safely delegate care to their nurses.

The software ensures that nurses ask the correct questions and find the right disposition for every call. It works with existing Electronic Medical Records systems (or EMR), and can be securely accessed directly from the internet without additional software or downloads.

For the first time, TriageLogic is giving organizations 30 free days to use the software and experience its benefits which include saving time, ensuring appropriate patient care advice and documentation, and increased patient and nurse satisfaction. The software allows doctors to rest assured that their patients are receiving the most appropriate disposition every time they call. TriageLogic also includes free training by its experienced call center nurse manager, Rose Moon, RN.

What MyTriageChecklist Includes

Once organizations sign up for a free trial, they have instant access to the software. It’s created to be user-friendly, and TriageLogic provides additional resources to make it easy for nurses to learn the software and tips on how to select the right protocols. This includes free live training by our experienced call center manager as well as courses on telephone nurse triage in the free learning center.

On the first page in the software, practices are able to watch a quick training video to help them get started. If more help is needed, then weekly, free live training sessions are available. Every Thursday at noon our experienced nurse manager Rose Moon gives a live demo, and gives nurses the opportunity to ask questions to better understand the nurse triage process. Support is available through the entirety of the 30 days.

How Does the Software Work

The patient calls and gives an overview of their symptom and the triage nurse enters symptom “keywords” to quickly access the correct protocol. The nurse uses the Schmitt-Thompson based protocol checklist to ask all the right questions and directs the patient to appropriate level of care or disposition, whether that’s home care, an e-visit, or an urgent care visit. As the nurse handles the call, the telephone triage system documents all the details of the call.

The protocols guide the nurse through the call and makes sure that consistent care is being administered. With clear guidelines to follow and a simple step-by-step process, each patient receives a thorough assessment. These protocols help guard against human error or mistakes, which lessens liability on practices. The Schmitt-Thompson protocols provide coverage for pediatric, adult, and women’s health concerns and they are used by over 90% of nurse call centers around the country. Telephone triage protocols are also a great training tool for new nurses.

The Value

Streamlining the triage process cuts down on unnecessary office or ED visits and assists with coordinating e-visits, in turn saving on healthcare costs. MyTriageChecklist also helps with nurse training and gives new nurses all the tools they need to succeed. In addition to the clear, simple protocols, nurses have access to TriageLogic’s Learning Center which is filled with blogs, videos, and outside references.

The system enables nurses to email or text care advice to the patients for reference after the call, helping to encourage the patient to follow through with their care plan. This is incredibly helpful as the healthcare industry continues to evolve and adapt to remote solutions.

MyTriageChecklist is an easy to use, secure, effective solution that can help your practice adapt to major health events, such as COVID-19. If you are interested in finding out how TriageLogic can help your office, sign up for our 30 day trial or contact us today.
