Barton Schmitt MD, FAAP

Dr. Barton Schmitt is a leading figure in pediatric care, best known for his inaugural book on telephone triage for children — Pediatric Telephone Advice — published in 1980. He has also served as the medical director for the Pediatric Call Center at Children’s Hospital Colorado since 1988, which oversees evening and weekend calls for more than 500 pediatricians across Colorado, Wyoming, Montana, and New Mexico.
