Growing Towards Today
The past eight years have brought a substantial amount of technological growth in numerous areas of business. The year 2005 brought the Sony Xbox 360, and the new iPod that offered a 2.5" screen and played visual files. From there, we have grown to see the development of YouTube, the MacBook, iPhones, iPads, retail DNA testing, home HIV tests, self-inflating tires, and the 3D printer. Over the past eight years TriageLogic™ has grown right along with technology, and offered the healthcare field a unique combination of high quality IT, and efficient, cost-effective solutions in nurse triage.
TriageLogic™ Responds with Expansion of Solutions and Responsibilities
With developing IT options, the healthcare industry has continued to search for ways to provide efficient, cost-effective, and quality standardized care that serves patients in a timely manner without overburdening physicians. As a result, more physicians, ACO's, and other patient-focused disciplines are turning to telephone nurse triage, and TriageLogic™ has remained true to its core principle of giving patients access to healthcare information 24/7.
The development of on-call nurse triage support, and software for both call centers and office solutions makes TriageLogic™ an asset to medical providers of any size. Known for providing quality services and products, and offering state of the art technology, the company has experienced increasing demand and subsequently, increased growth. With this growth, Charu Raheja, PhD, is taking on new responsibilities and a more prominent role at the company. Utilizing her knowledge and experience as a professor of finance at Wake Forest, she has been serving part-time as TriageLogic's co-founder, CFO, and Chair. Now, she is dedicating her expertise full-time, and will be TriageLogic’s CEO, working diligently to further expand the company's goal of providing solutions for healthcare's financial issues, while also increasing the quality of care received by patients.
“As an economist, I see the importance of looking for sustainable healthcare systems that provide win-win outcomes for patients, physicians, hospitals and the overall industry. I see nurse triage as a great solution for meeting these goals, not only in the United States but worldwide,” Dr. Raheja explained.
As the new CEO, she also plans to bring telephone nursing into areas of the population where access to healthcare providers is limited. “We are moving into additional areas that can benefit from nurse triage, such as nursing homes and businesses with high workers’ compensation utilization. There is also a need for nurse triage in rural and underserved areas, and we are working hard to make nurse triage available so that everyone benefits. I see myself as an economist with an expertise in finding solutions that help people, while at the same time keeping costs under control,” said Dr. Raheja.
As a company developed by and for healthcare practitioners, and designed with a strong financial and timesaving benefit for providers and patients, TriageLogic™ is well positioned to continue to evolve with the changing technology and professional needs of healthcare providers. And, as the new CEO, Charu Raheja is dedicated to using her finance and research experience to help customers cost-effectively improve their technology and their systems for patient care.
